Galentine's Day! 

Valentine's Day is the most romantic day of the year, but for some it is the most depressing. It is the day that highlights that they are alone and not in a relationship. Unfortunately, everything around us at this time of year suggests we should be in a relationship and in love; TV ads, billboards, social media posts and email marketing, all tailored to Valentine’s Day.

A day that isn’t really marketed is Galentine's Day! Celebrated on 13th February, Galentine’s is for singletons to enjoy the company of their friends.

When researching Galentine’s marketing campaigns there weren’t many to look through, the two that I did find happen to both be from skincare companies. An excellent example, skincare is the perfect pick me up for a singleton! Both Olay and Garnier have noticed that this is a national day that not many of their competitors focus on, one offering a discount and one offering a giveaway, both campaigns will boost their social media following and most likely their sales too! If you spot any Galentine’s Day marketing campaigns that you like the look of, make sure you tag us!

This Galentine’s Day, why not organise a gals day and make plans with your friends for a coffee and catch up and embrace that feel good feeling.

Whether you choose your standard Costa or Starbucks, or decide to appreciate your local coffee shop, use this as your opportunity to grab your gals and have a good natter, what better way to give yourself a pickup this February! It doesn’t have to be coffee, it could be a large slice of cake!
